BeatMe — Privacy Policy

BeatMe is a metronome app published by Intelicom. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: it does not collect any.

What we collect

Nothing. BeatMe does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or device data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or advertising of any kind.

The app makes no network requests of its own. Its only use of the network is Google Play’s billing service, described below.

Purchases

Saving your setups, songs and setlists under a name is a one-time purchase. The transaction is handled entirely by Google Play: BeatMe never sees or stores your name, email address, payment card or billing address, and no purchase information is sent to Intelicom.

The app asks Google Play whether this Google account owns the purchase, and records the yes-or-no answer on the device so that it works offline. Google’s handling of the payment is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

What stays on your device

BeatMe saves your settings on the device so they are there next time you open it. This information never leaves the device except through Android’s own backup, described below. It consists of:

• your current pattern — tempo, time signature, accents, subdivision, swing;
• setups you have saved under a name, the songs you have built from them, and your setlists;
• your click sound settings and app preferences, such as theme and haptics;
• a running total of how long the metronome has been playing;
• the date of first launch and the version first installed.

Deleting the app, or clearing its storage in Android Settings, erases all of it permanently. We hold no copy and cannot recover it.

Android backup

If you have Android’s backup enabled, the operating system may include BeatMe’s saved settings in your Google account backup, so your setups follow you to a new device. That backup is handled entirely by Google under your own Google account settings; Intelicom has no access to it. You can turn it off in your device’s backup settings.

Permissions the app requests

• Notifications — to show the playback notification while the metronome runs in the background, so you can stop it without reopening the app.
• Vibration — for the optional haptic pulse on each beat.
• Foreground service — to keep the click playing when the app is not on screen.
• Internet and network state — used only to reach Google Play’s billing service, so a purchase can be made and recognised. Nothing else in the app uses the network.

The optional camera-flash metronome uses Android’s torch control and requires no camera permission. BeatMe never accesses the camera, the microphone, your files, your contacts or your location.

Children

BeatMe is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what it does with data, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the date above will change.
