R52
Description:
The R52 GPRS Router from T.D.T. has been developed in response to the need for site independent installations able to connect a wide range of remote devices.
Data communications via GPRS offers a cost effective means for mobile applications and for sites with no data infrastructure.
The easy to use R52 in its tough metal housing offers users a fast implementation of new applications especially in areas such as telemetry and telematics.
Secure data transmission is guaranteed as the software supplied includes a full IPSec encryption suite and an efficient stateful inspection firewall with content filtering functions. Detailed monitoring and accounting also log successful and unsuccessful attempts to access the router.
On the Hardware side, the R52 offers one 10/100BaseT LAN port with auto MDI/MDX sensing, a tri band GPRS/GSM modem, two USB 2.0 Ports and a synchronous / asynchronous port. An additional expansion port is also available for use with the Dallas 1-Wire bus or a GPS receiver.
A state of the art Siemens GSM radio is tightly integrated into the product allowing simultaneous monitoring of signal quality and transfer of user data. It can even send and receive SMS Text messages without dropping the data link.
A unique feature of the R52 is its ability to connect to two different APNs at the same time. This means that data can be simultaneously send to two different hosts e.g. a primary and a back up host.
By using IPCOMP deflate data compression the R52 can provide significant cost savings and increase in apparent speed for any application sending compressible data (2:0:1 average compression ratio).
The Dallas 1-Wire bus (also called MicroLAN) allows various sensing and actuating devices to be connected to the R52. Fast to deploy, it uses a simple “phone cable” wiring and RJ11 connectors. Currently up to 25 devices can be supported up to maximum of 100 m. from the R52.
By using the integrated BASIC interpreter, you are able to design your own application (data logging, threshold queries, switching on / off, complex monitoring applications, etc.) in a very short time. The Basic interpreter and pre-compiler offers a comfortable development environment and a large choice of string, numeric and IP-handling features not normally found on a unit of this type.
User friendliness and high reliability are additional features of the R52. The configuration of the R52 can be done by Web browser or by Telnet session.
The R52 can be used in a wide temperature range from -20°C to +55°C and is approved for fitment to vehicles "e-mark (95/54/EC)".

R52u
Description:
The R52u UMTS / HSDPA Router from T.D.T. is particular developed for highspeed mobile data communication.
Data communications via UMTS / HSDPA offers a cost effective means for mobile applications and for sites with no data infrastructure.
The easy to use R52e in its tough metal housing offers users a fast implementation of new applications especially in areas such as telemetry and telematics.
Secure data transmission is guaranteed as the software supplied includes a full IPSec encryption suite and an efficient stateful inspection firewall with content filtering functions. Detailed monitoring and accounting also log successful and unsuccessful attempts to access the router.
On the Hardware side, the R52u offers one 10/100BaseT LAN port with auto MDI/MDX sensing, a quad band GPRS/GSM modem, two USB 2.0 Ports, a synchronous / asynchronous port and optional a internal GPS Receiver. An additional expansion port is also available for use with the Dallas 1-Wire bus.
A state of the art Siemens GSM radio is tightly integrated into the product allowing simultaneous monitoring of signal quality and transfer of user data. It can even send and receive SMS Text messages without dropping the data link.
A unique feature of the R52u is its ability to connect to two different APNs at the same time. This means that data can be simultaneously send to two different hosts e.g. a primary and a back up host.
By using IPCOMP deflate data compression the R52u can provide significant cost savings and increase in apparent speed for any application sending compressible data (2:0:1 average compression ratio).
The Dallas 1-Wire bus (also called MicroLAN) allows various sensing and actuating devices to be connected to the R52u. Fast to deploy, it uses a simple “phone cable” wiring and RJ11 connectors. Currently up to 25 devices can be supported up to maximum of 100 m.
By using the integrated BASIC interpreter, you are able to design your own application (data logging, threshold queries, switching on / off, complex monitoring applications, etc.) in a very short time.
